Malin Uhlén (b. 1989, Värmland) is a ceramic artist with a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics and Glass from Konstfack, Stockholm.
Uhlén’s work explores moments between decay and growth. She uses traditional ceramic practices and experimental processes, and reimagines material imperfection into a source of expression, letting the clay crack, break, collapse and reshape into unexpected forms.
Her practice is inspired by the ways matter and experiences change us, drawing connections between physical formation and shifting perspectives. She explores the fluid nature of body and mind, and how this continuous change affects how we observe our surroundings.
